They also have defenders no one had heard of before the start of the season. DCL would have about 5 goals with the way they play.

We have no decent GK, we have no right back. The midfield is garbage.

It's true and those are the limitations Dom currently has. He's dependent on the creative players, like any striker, but I would argue he's exceptionally dependent. When we're not at it, he can't buy a goal, which isn't the mark of a top striker, in my opinion.

He is decent though. Not slating him here.

And I've no doubt he's working on precisely these things.

Yeh and I'll agree but I don't think, even with his development here, he'll ever stop being very reliant on a midfield. People just need to be realistic with him. Last season he was Championship level to some and those same people are now pissed off he's not scoring direct from corners.
 
He's got his limitations obviously but surely a game against Man City where we didn't bother attacking for the last half hour isn't really a fair game to beat him with, the over-reaction is mad

It is what it is, he’ll never get accepted by those that wanted him nowhere near the team in first place, I mean he’s scored 34 in 70 between the last 2 seasons, 6 more than Richarlison in the same timeframe

That's including some spells where we have been poor. This lad is doing his part. That's one short of a goal every other game.
