I thought him & Rhico did well under the circumstances of the game overall DCL nearly got on the end of the first half city keepers mistake they were lucky - At that moment - but let's face it they play football like the Harlem globetrotters play basket ball....
Miles faster than us passing bob on etc - 2-0 was no disgrace why when we get beat DCL playing to Carlo's game plan has to carry the blame ?

It's true and those are the limitations Dom currently has. He's dependent on the creative players, like any striker, but I would argue he's exceptionally dependent. When we're not at it, he can't buy a goal, which isn't the mark of a top striker, in my opinion.

He is decent though. Not slating him here.

And I've no doubt he's working on precisely these things.
Some limitations with his goal tally FGS.....

Thought he could have held the ball better. He let Dias and Laporte push him off the ball quite a lot. I thought he could have a bit a bit more aggressive.

It wasn't his best day today and we needed to be very clinical to win.
His first touch is brilliant his lay-offs are too - hard to do that with almost 10 men behind the ball most of the game....

Yes I agree, his first touch and hold up play usually are very good. But they haven't been good in his last two games. The problem is we are too reliant on him right now. If he doesnt perform close to his best then we struggle.

Our midfield is decimated plus it's not that good when we have most players back in certain games - without DCL goals this season we would be just above the relegation zone....

The likes of Utd would take him in a heartbeat. If we sell him I don’t know that we’d necessarily find a better player out there, unless we are in the CL and prepared to shell out £100million plus for someone.
You do mean Southend Utd, because if you mean Manchester Utd you would kill the lads ambition in just a
few games, he would be ridiculed and probably even by our lot when the gates re-open.

I think he could do better at times with his hold up play, was really poor v Burnley, but good tonight. I suppose that’s why a lot of teams only play With one forward. So it gives them more players facing the play with the ball.

Richarlison & DCL are both very good players, but not easy, up against class defenders and against a team like city, when you don’t get a lot of the ball.

while the team didn’t do bad. It you look what we need to improve abs try and get closer to this type of team.

It’s getting better technical players. Coleman poor, Holgate poor. Mina ok. Allan/Gomes ok siggurdsson as well, but still doesn’t influence enough. Unfortunately ok isn’t good enough.

Another CB that could bring the ball forward and pass it better. a Right wingback that could at least put them under pressure and have some quality. And one of the 3 midfielders capable of Hurting them by finding space amd really clever intelligent passing. And another one of the midfielders capable of running and going past players, which opens up so much space for others.

Apart from Richarlison did we have anyone else who could run and take out a few of their players. They had 4 or 5

Nail on the head he has to perform with the faults of the other players you list.....
It was a valiant performance - city just far to good for our makeshift side....
