Unfortunately for DCL with the lack of goals from the rest of the team when we don't score it's easy to point the finger at him. I think he's done well this season, goals have been invaluable particularly at the start of the season.

The big big big concern here is that I feel with DCL in the team it dictates the way we play quite a bit. He's a target man and to get the best out of him we need to pump long balls and crosses into the box. If we're sticking with DCL (which I'd imagine we will) we need to buy a couple of quality wingers who can get to the byline and put a decent ball into the box for him to feed off.

I haven't checked but I'm going to guess the crowd who don't want DCL are the same ones who didn't want Lukaku?

I don’t think anybody doesn’t want him at the club but we certainly need another option. A better one

Yes, he snatches at chances on occasion and has fluffed a few sitters, but at the end of the day that wouldn’t be half the issue it is if a) we created more chances and b) we didn’t rely on him so much for our goals.

Totally agree. He's fluffed a few that he should of buried but he's still got a great goal return. Most goals in open play I think? Or at least he did have a few weeks ago. I'm sure I read somewhere that we are the most clinical team in the prem too in terms of the amount of goal scoring opportunities created compared to the amount of goals. I don't get how anybody can not like dom.

Who is better, affordable, worth the money and would want to come? If FFP wasn’t a thing fair enough but we have another 3/4 positions which are way more important to buy for yet. As well as the fact Liverpool, City, United, Arsenal will all more than likely be needing a striker too and I don’t see anyone picking us ahead of them just yet

He’s not an attacking threat until he’s in the 6 yard box - I think that’s the point and frustration. When we’re looking for a goal from nothing you genuinely can’t see him producing a moment of magic and in those tight games against the top clubs you need players who can do that. He’s nowhere near that level.

Wrong you're mistaking aesthetically pleasing with threatening every time a ball is played up to him and he wins a header or brings someone else in to play its an attacking threat. Attacking threat isn't just defined by someone running fast with the ball or shooting from long range.

Also you cant see anyone producing a goal out of nothing that's why its called a goal out of nothing
