...no, I absolutely agree his form has fallen off but I totally disagree with throwaway phrases like ‘hasn’t turned up for 4 months’ because as far as I can see he still makes a contribution to the team effort. Even first half hour at Arsenal, he did well relieving pressure by holding the ball up (the commentator mentioning how well he did).

He’s had a terrific season, where he’s progressed to another level, a definite inclusion in England squads and back-up to Harry Kane. He can come short, he can run defenders in behind, he wins most aerial duals.

In recent weeks TV pundits have said he’d be ‘perfect for Chelsea’ or ‘ideal for United’, he’s arguably Everton’s most valuable asset.
nicely put eggsy

He had a terrific 10 games at the start and since then he's been ok/average/poor ( mixture of 3 ) so overall I think he's had a good season. Never mind what the commentators say based on his form for the past calender year he's only shone for a few months of that ( in between two poor spells )

Or you overly slating them because you don't.

Nar, no in-between for some in here. If you don't think he's the best striker in the world you must think he's rubbish.

I don't think either I just think he's "ok" decent player but not someone who gets us in the champions League. And based on his form as a whole I think that's a fair assesment

He shouldn't be allowed to shoot outside the box because his shooting is woeful

I think you are badly wrong pal.

Harry kane is on a different planet to DCL and it's not even remotely close

Rom Rooney yakubu even Saha was a better footballer

There's a theme here fella.

I lost interest in going back further.

Prove them right
Hahahahaha touche

Well the goal returns prove kane is on a different level to DCL, don't think you can really argue about that?

DCL is what 23/24 and I don't think he's ever scored from outside the box? (Maybe once or twice but I can't remember ) so think that proves he's not good from outside the box.

Last point was his form in the calender year not being great. He finished last season terribly, don't think again you can argue against that? Started the season boss but been very average for the past few months in my opinion.

Over to you sir

Thank you. Point proven - you don't like Dom so constantly find an angle to slate.

I think it's fair enough to pick up on his lack of goals second half season. The mitigating factor though is they've stopped creating chances for him but people are saying in some moments needs to do more to make space for a shot himself or something.

Overall though the lad continues to improve and has been a joy to watch his development.

As the saying goes, a winner isn't somebody who has never failed, a winner is someone who never gave up. DCL is in this category for me, he's worked very hard.

He can look quite basic if he isn't scoring, but I still think it made a big difference having a natural striker leading the line again.

Just the way that he occupies defenders is enough to get the team up the pitch quicker than if Richarlison is the focal point and the ball isn't sticking.
