In a season in all competitions BT claimed last person to score 15 league goals in a season -1993/ 94?!for us was Tony Cottee.......I shall check my EFC bible ....
As a team hardly any goals from midfield & our other top striker has only Six goals .....in the league .....

Yeah the rest of the team just do not chip in barely at all. I just thought Yak got 20 in all comps as well.

Your hard to understand but are you saying DCLs 15 goals is our highest tally since Tony cotter in 93/94? And if that's what you are saying I will guarantee BT sport's never said anything or that sort

DCL is not far of that now , but the team in midfield is crap ATM .....DCL is not the finished article by no means , but the stick on this thread is poor it's the rest of the team our right back sadly past his best the defence being shuffled like a pack of cards - injuries in midfield have left us so poor to slow etc no creativity ...not a decent winger either....

I know you're a staunch supporter Joey, I like the kid myself and don't thionk tactics suit him at the minute, unless Digne is knocking it in he's struggling.

That isn't entirely his fault and I agree some of the stick is way OTT given the lads remarkable improvements over the last 3 years but it's never good enough and won't be as he's not a complete striker. Some expect prime Ronaldo9 and he isn't that guy.

I did hear them mention something along those lines mate, he's right. I thought of yakubu at the time as well. And as above Lukaku.

But even if they DID say what joey said ( which they wouldn't have ) why bring that crap on here likes it's true when you know full well a striker we had only a couple of seasons ago matched/beat that record 3 out of 4 seasons.

I honestly do get the lads who defend him on here, and why they do it. But I've never seen a player in my life time hyped up as much as DCL is in here.

DCL is good enough for us that's the crux of it, Lukaku apart we have hardly been blessed with prolific strikers and Dom has improved season on season, I can't ask much more than that from the lad.

As for BT they did say that, commentators do chat rubbish at times when they've not done their homework, not joeys fault that one.

Yakubu was not bad for knocking goals in. Apart from the goal did DCL do anything else of note?

Have I said otherwise? Points gone way over your head here lid, just explaining what was said. i never mentioned the game last night in the latest conversation. I mentioned Yakubu a few times, so not sure what your angle is here?
