I haven't got the clip but trust me, I thought it was a bizarre thing for them to say at the time, they made a mistake, I don't recall them using the term English but it doesn't really matter either way really. He scored one missed a few. He needs to do better at times with his shooting but at the same time we need to improve service to him.

They said it was the most by an English striker for us since Cottee, which is true considering the amount of English strikers we’ve had over the years

My angle on Yakubu was in reply to Terrararian who only mentioned Lukaku. As for DCL I was asking apart from the goal he scored in the game did he do anyting of note in the game.

As a team hardly any goals from midfield & our other top striker has only Six goals .....in the league .....

Heard that to, aswell as Lukaku didn't Yakubu also bang 20 one season? Maybe he said first English player since Cottee but even that is a crap statistic.

DCL is good though, just want some proper competition for him next season so we're no so reliant on his goals.
