DCL wouldn’t get into any top 4 team right now and doesn’t show enough quality on the ball to think he ever would. (Sub maybe but not starting)

He would start for City, easily, I mean they have zero Strikers better than him.

Chelsea also, he's better than Werner, better than Firminho at Liverpool, probably wouldn't get in ahead of Cavani at Utd.

So only 3 of the 4.

I'm making the obvious point that a player with so many shortcomings needs to get a grip and remember that far far better players had to put it in for Everton first and then wait for their big break with an elite CL regular club.

Cos there's nothing wrong with ambition, you are aware that we are a club who's average League position is 11th, right?

We finished 11th with Lukaku, twice, that's why he's not here.

Carlo do exactly that he got a free pass out of our club - with a get out clause in a 10 million contract t with no compensation-
Everton that - how many fraud managers have we paid off costing us millions.......
DCL is our bext asset - warned his haters on here a big club may come in for him .......

City would rather play with no strikers than Aguero and Jesus but DCL starts. Ok then.

Werner offers more all round play than DCL could. He’d be on the bench with Abraham.

You’ve completely misread my post. I didn’t at any point suggest he’s as good as lukaku. Was referencing people saying he’s doing a lukaku which he isn’t.

Well fair enough, but if a player IS too good for Everton, it's a little unfair to expect that he'll have the same attitude as a player who is NOT too good for Everton when on international duty. I agree with you - DCL is not "doing a Lukaku". But to be honest, it would be preposterous of him to do so. It's never a good look - even for a player as talented as Lukaku - but it would be a ludicrous look for DCL. He's improved a lot and he needs to get his head down now and improve further. Then he can talk the Champions League talk.

Lukaku pisses all over DCL in all aspects of the game...and did do when here.

DCL's ambitions are racing well ahead of his talents.

I can't believe I'm having to defend this stance. He disrespected this club and is using his place in the national team to put himself in the shop window.

He's not having fun; he's categorising certain Everton fans and implying that they dont have a decent opinion on him or how worth because of their age.

My take on that is he KNOWS that Evertonians of a certain age know a cracking Everton forward when they see one, and they dont see it in him. THAT was implicit to that dismissal of them.

2 years ago I didn’t even see Calvert as a footballer never mind a champions league player, I’d have been happy to have him released On a free. Since then he’s scored 40+ goals in two seasons, I’ll not be doubting the guys potential again
