"I said this player wasn't any good but now he's shown me up for being wrong. I could just be classy and admit it or I could double/triple/quadruple down to try and find reasons to have a go a him just so I can prove I was right all along"

It's clear what option some are choosing

Still, if I'd made the stupidest post in GOT history by referring to a good play as a "pudding", only for that player to show me up right and proper I'd probably be scrambling too

Lukaku disrespected us every time he went to play for Belgium and, let’s not forget, refused to come back for pre season the summer we sold him to United

Probably not top 4 quality for assists... But it's hard to assist when we don't have any more than about 2 players capable of scoring.

13 Premier League goals with no pens (in a team that appeared to create the majority of chances from set pieces) probably is Top 4 quality however, and scoring is his primary job.

He definitely needs to improve his ground finishing, but he has time. I have no doubts he could score 20 odd a season for any of the top 4.

Or us with better creative players and some width...

Tbf, James, Sigurdsson, Richarlison can all score. His link up play just isn’t good enough.

I'm not sure what you're watching to be honest or what you want him to do? He's specifically been told this season to get himself into the 6 yard box and that has reflected in the goals tally.

I know it's seemingly fashionable to play Strikers in midfield, a la Kane, but DCL isn't a midfielder and doesn't claim to be. He's on the end of things, the failure of our midfield should be responsible for chance creation and unfortunately it's nowhere near good enough... That's not Dom's job.
