There is no such thing in the Premier League as an 'English quota', there is only a requirement of certain number of 'Home Grown' players. 'Home Grown' means that a player must have been on the books of a club affiliated with the FA for at least three years before they turn 21 – it does not mean that they have to be English.

Cesc Fabregas, for example, joined Arsenal at 16 and was classed as a homegrown player despite being a Spanish international.

So...how many HG players do Newcastle have at present? Your username is a dead giveaway by the way.

Much as I don't want to see DCL leave, if Newcastle really did come in with that kind of an offer we would have to seriously consider it. After the kind of injury he has had and taking into account his playing style, he may have to adjust his playing style to compensate. I'm not sure how that would go, without his strength and his explosive leap, he would just be one more average bottom half centre forward.

Of course, his recovery may well be complete and he may be back to his best this season, in which case happy days, we can have an excellent centre forward for one more season, and then sell him on. It's a difficult call, but, I don't think we could dismiss a big money offer out of hand.

How progressive are Newcastle dads?

On the catwalk, on the catwalk yeah

Same as Gordon, he won’t leave because he will not push to leave and nobody is seriously interested at the fee we would ask.

£30m and teams would consider it. £45m gets you Gabriel Jesus. A little bit more gets you Haaland and Nunez. Even Vlahovic.

There is no way any team pays £60m for Calvert Lewin after the season he has just had.
