Im pretty certain one of the main fitness/conditioning blokes at the club is related to a former player of ours or something like that.

Kenwright's Jobs for the lads as usual.

…I don’t see that impacting a knee injury.

Not sure if many have been to FF, but the pitches are the same as Goodison in that they are ridiculously firm. They look like bowling greens, they never get muddy

Being an old timer, I’d not be comfortable on them myself but you just know they won’t be sympathetic on the joints, particularly the knee.

The reality is that we should have already had a second striker signed up and bedded in before the season started because there is no way is Rondon good enough to be a back up striker even after he serves his ban and it was always going to be risky relying on Dom alone after his previous injury.

It is just Everton in a nutshell once more. Nearly got relegated and learnt absolutely nothing from it because the same tit heads are still running the show as in those ones that strategically reviewed themselves.
Doesn’t get explicitly called out nearly enough. This is just the latest example of why we should be skeptical that anything has really changed. I hope it has, but I’m not holding my breath. If someone smashes a window up into a hundred pieces, you don’t have them try to piece it back together. You bring in a professional to replace the window with a new one. We’ve brought in new people to put things back together and given them fewer pieces to do so, a doubly impossible task.

I'm pretty certain some people make up any old unsubstantiated rubbish to serve their tired old agenda and then suggest it's a fact by attributing it to their target.

@ForeverBlue92 spinning it as usual.

This sums up the multiple problems we have brilliantly. It’s a spiders web of disaster. Just to point out again though, our FFP or P&S situation is not a factor in trying to structure deals with low initial payments.

When we pay the cash instalments has no bearing on the accounts (other than accounting for the remaining liability). The costs hitting each financial period and affecting the P&S rules are just the total cost of the contract divided by length of contract. If we paid zero until the last day of a 4 year contract, a quarter would still hit this years accounts.

It is the media that keep perpetuating this confusion, saying we need to by Cornet on the drip due to P&S and we have proposed embarrassing payment terms etc etc.

The only reason for not wanting to pay large amounts in the initial installment is if we are short of actual cash. Presumably due to our owner having his pocket money sanctioned. Which is another problem that can be added to the list!

You have no idea how P&S works have you?

What you've described is FPP.

P&S works completely differently and is about what you are paying out and getting in 'this' season.

Besides for literally everything in your post being wrong, well said ?

A month isn't the end of the world. Takes us to the end of the transfer window anyway ha.
A month isn’t the end of the world, no.

But it’s the frequency in which he’s picking up these injuries which should be a concern. He missed the majority of last season, and this one’s not even started yet and he’s already pulled up.

The signs aren’t looking good.

Makes it all the more suspicious.

I'd be more inclined to believe it if it came from Lampard, but if it's the club briefing the press, I'm just going to assume that they're trying to lie their way out of buying a replacement.
