18/19 - missed 1 game
19/20 - missed 3 games

Last year picked up a bad injury

This somehow means he’s made of glass
He's had a bad 12 months now looking like a bad 18 months and is continually picking up knocks and niggles. I hate to say it but he is definitely looking like he caught the glass legs virus off of Delph.

But surely the managers set the training plans etc and the warm ups. They dont just pick the teams.

We have had 6 managers in the last few years, are you telling me they all came in and didn't change any of the training plans which are apparently "stone age"?

You've said yourself, benitez sacked many and brought his own in, yet we still had ridiculous injuries last season, including DCL being rushed back, by benitez and his fitness guy.

This pre season, we have done allright generally. Dcl and Gray missed a game as a precaution but both then played the next game fine. We still don't really know much about DCL now in regards as to what sort of injury it is. It might have had nothing to do with conditioning/fitness and might have just been an overstretch, which happens.

Whatever it is - it isn't "bad luck"

Look at our relatively good injury record under Moist and his backroom staff.

Now look at West Hams relatively good injury record under Moist and his backroom staff.

El Loco came in, dismantled the whole thing and it hasn't been the same since with managers under Brands tenure as DOF all having the same problems. Benitez tried to change it but wasn't given enough time, maybe Lampard can rip it up and fully change the whole department but as Eggs mentioned the pitches at FF etc may also need sorting but if the medical team aint piping up then who's going to bring this kind of thing to the owner in Monaco's attention ?

Right enough @Marius57, there are many factors surrounding injuries, which are, of course, all part of the game.

However, Everton appear to have so many training ground injuries These are in addition to injuries suffered during warm ups. So many of them are muscle injuries. I don't know if this is correct, but we appear to have more, if you like, self inflicted injuries, in comparison to injuries suffered during games. If not, the ratio seems unacceptably high.

A question for somebody far more knowledgeable than myself, has this phenomena worsened since we have been at Finch Farm? There have been far too many managers and coaches and trainers and medical staff with different techniques for this to be now merely coincidence. FF is the only constant.

A bit like our injury record. Constantly sodding abysmal.

When that bad injury is one which historically can lead to repeated injury layoffs due to overcompensating and reoccurring forms of it - look at Gbanim who had the same exact injury pretty much - and then when he's had in the period since that injury I believe now three seperate injuries (not including the precaution of resting him in pre season either) then yes I think it's a massive red flag they he from this point forward can be regarded as very 'fragile'

How much time did Benitez need since he replaced them all in November three months before he got the sack?

Can I suggest we all follow the direction of @Jebus_lives post in the Ukraine thread and stop the blue quacks from carrying out their seasonal sacrifice using our Mind Power. If we focus as one we can stop them telepathically from doing this. This is serious stuff, I urge the Everton medical team to heed this warning, all of them, leave Dom alone - and I am serious about this, very!

Gbamin couldnt get 5 minutes together after his quad, DCL was said to be in fine shape and this injury is nothing to do with his quad.
