But why are the goals worth less? It's not like there were loads more goals scored were there? Or defenders just gave up defending.

It looked like the same sport to me.

He wasn't injured 90% of last season, he played 17 league games.

He scored like 12/13 league goals in his first 10 league games under Carlo, then finished the season with another 4 in 20 odd games, just purely looking at the numbers that looks a fantastic season, but it wasn't it was massively inconsistent.

As you say though it's about moving forward and he's not got it in him to do it anymore, he can't stay fit, he's like yerry mina these days. Injury after injury

How many did he start?

And he wasnt fit following his first injury, that was obvious. He looked a shadow of himself.

On the 2nd point, strikers score in cycles. It's not realistic to expect a striker to score at a rate of 12 in 10. That is like Haaland levels. Its not sustainable. Taken across a season, when you average out his form, he performed very well.

Why not? I'm not saying there werent some differences, but I just dont see why it was specifically easier for Calvert Lewin?

A fit and firing Calvert-Lewin is potentially a game changer

But he cannot be relied on anymore. Its a real shame but its daft to keep denying and ignoring this. We need someone who can play regularly.

Completely different game. The pressure of playing away went out the window. Players played with far more freedom.

Ok. But that is going to be true for defenders as well when they were playing away?

Like I'm not seeing why these potential benefits would only apply to DCL and not other pros.

He is terrible.

Maybe but we did look more disjointed when he came off ,the rest of the players Heads looked like they fell off maybe play 2 up top

I just dont think that season matters. You cant compare it to other years.

I really don’t know what you’re getting at. My point is that every single thing from that season should be at worst scrubbed from the record books, at best have a big fat asterisk next to it. It was not real football, we shouldn’t be using anything from that season as evidence of anything.

I suppose what I'm getting at, is that seems a bit odd to me. But you're entitled to your view.

But yes, if you omit DCLs best season, his record isnt as good.

If he's feckin fit play him with maupy . maupy can't play on his own needs someone next to him but can finish

Of course I celebrated wins but my point is that it was not a normal season so cannot be compared to other years. It was a one off when things happened that won't happened again. It means nothing and wasnt real football.

I suppose that's a subjective view from me mate. I dont think you can just scrap everything from a season and say it's not football because there arent fans. I've played football where there are no fans, and it still felt like football.
