Of course I celebrated wins but my point is that it was not a normal season so cannot be compared to other years. It was a one off when things happened that won't happened again. It means nothing and wasnt real football.

Of course it was abnormal. But the abnormality didnt make it any easier to score goals, so I'm not sure why they should be forgotten (for him or others).

Like if it wasnt real, why celebrate a win?

Ok that's your opinion and you're entitled to it. Did you not celebrate our win in the derby?

But it's not really answering the question why it would be any easier to score goals that season? There were less goals scored that season than the year before!

That wasn’t a “win at Anfield”, no. It was a victory against Liverpool in front of no fans. The reason we haven’t won at Anfield since 1999 is precisely because of the fact we have to actually play in front of their fans and we can’t do it.

Because winning is winning. And you don't know if something is normal or abnormal until you have the advantage of hindsight. And looking back on that season, things happened that dont happen under normal circumstances. So that season is not a good reference point for anything

I said win in the derby mate, so not sure why you've put win at Anfield in quotes.

Should this win be erased?

Ok. But in terms of goalscoring, there was nothing abnormal about that season was there? It was a season with freakishly high goals scored.

I think there were more goals than normal, especially at the start of that year.

Behind closed doors professional football is not real football for me. It can't be compared to a normal season

There wasnt though. The previous season had more goals scored!

I agree, it was an abnormal season, that essentially discounted home advantage. But it played no discernible part in how easy it was to score goals. DCL did very well that season, and deserves a lot of credit cor doing so.

That chance he missed was as easy it gets at this level. Either slot it home first time or go round Ward. The one thing you don't do is take a touch towards the keeper as he rushes out to block the angle. Just a bad decision and bad execution. You cant miss chances like that.

That's 2 games in a row he missed a real sitter

No SeRvIcE tHo

Fella is a complete stinker of a striker.
