Starting to look really worrying for him, he barely ever got an injury until last season. Such a shame for him, nothing going right. Can only hope the World Cup will give him time to get properly fit.

He'd just not very good. He looked ok for half a season, when one of Europe's top managers (Carlo) managed to 'get a tune out of him' but has otherwise been below average. Yes he scores a few - he does play centre forward after all and, given the number of games he's played (outside of the Carlp period) you'd have to be spectacularly useless (or Rondon) not to - but he's generally pretty rubbish. Whenever a chance comes his way it's more 'hope than expectation' that he takes it and he doesn't do much else. He wins a few headers and runs about a bit and that's pretty much it. I think that we've used his injuries as an excuse for too long, probably because we want him to be better than he actually is. Should have taken the money when we had the chance, if we ever rally did. Same with Gordon.

We lost Lukaku didn’t have a replacement , so Dom got game time which at the time I was happy with as we had no other option and i liked the fact that a young player was getting to play, but he has had so so long to prove himself and apart from a couple of good patches he has been nowhere near the grade of striker we need.
In between that time we bought Moise Kean ( regarded as one of the top young strikers when we got him) he had very little game time and no wonder he had attitude issues he wanted to play and however poor Dom was playing he was always first choice, perhaps Kean wasn’t up to the grade but he had zero chance of making it here with Dom here.
I keep hearing people say Dom is an old fashioned style striker which I suppose he is, I’d rather us go away from that type striker if we can’t get one good enough. I just think it could be time to part ways, I still think Dom could do ok elsewhere but I doubt he will ever be prolific, here and now we need much better and can’t keep waiting for him to be a top striker as it may or may not ever happen.

When DCL is fit and firing he is one the best strikers in the league. Not the full package, his finishing could be better, but all round game and work rate is top notch. He is certainly good enough to lead the line for most non top four sides.
The problem is that DCL hasn't been fit and firing for best part of two years. We are now in the Duncan Ferguson mode - having an asset that is never on the pitch, but having the asset stops us going all out to buy a top rate striker.

Carlo got a tune out DCL because he had Richy Digne Gylfi and James to assist him, he now has Gordon Gray and McNeil.

Not saying he is the answer but we could have Haaland up front and he would struggle with them clowns trying to assist him
