The last 2 one on one's I can think of, he scored one vs Palace and then missed yesterday.

He should have scored both, there's no denying that, but he does only get one chance a game. His one on one finishing is poor, but let's not pretend the service he gets is any better.
Even the best miss chances, but in functional teams, you'll get another one. Calvert Lewin doesn't.
Yep 2 massive chances, that probably cost us points.
Not to add fuel to the fire, but he's missed a number of one on ones now going back a few years, it's long been a weakness of his.
This is disappointing because before his good spell under Ancelotti this was his main attribute.
Whether you rate Dom or not I personally find the most frustrating part if it all is the inability to find decent competition or alternatives.
Dcl cost £1.5 million. A punt on a prospect.
Since we sold Lukaku he's been used heavily.
From memory and probably not in strict chronological order the club have brought in:
Rooney on a free. A last hurrah which lasted a season and saw him generate controversy for the club (the boozy night out / drink driving incident). On the field did okay.
Cenk Tosun for circa £20m. Steady first season, forgettable afterwards.
Theo Walcott. Circa £28m. Stellar start. Largely forgettable.
Richarlison. Circa £40m. Reliable player and we badly miss him. Not prolific tbf, but did the job.
Moise Kean. Circa £30m. Juve had us off didn't they?
Salomon Rondon. The least said the better about him.
Neil Maupay. Circa £15m. Jury is out. I'd suggest he'll be steady at best.
I may have missed someone and the values are from memory, so apologies if any are out (I'm too lazy to look).
DCL might not be perfect, but I can't get mad about him looking at that list. Some shocking waste by the club, yet folk are fuming at the £1.5 million punt signing who has developed into a first teamer. And kept a lot of the above out of the side. What does that say about the rest of them and the club?

He is awful with one on one's and always has been but if we had wingers who could beat a man and cross he would prob get a decent return
Will score headers and poacher goals, that's his game and Carlo used him as such. He's nowhere near the 6 yard box at the moment

Dixie Dean would struggle with our service to any forward we purchased - Maupay struggled when he came on .....DCL made a great chance then fluffed a great chance, that was our two glimpses of scoring in that game totally outplayed by a far better side - If DCL is now crocked yes replace him, but who ever you get in will struggle in our team ....

The problem, Joey, is there appears to be an "excuse" for everyone at Everton. Nobody is stepping up showing leadership in spite of whatever issues pertain. Everyone has a "reason" for not performing. That's unsustainable in the medium term, let alone long.
