We are a beggars can't be choosers club his size and athleticism provides a focus and occupies defenders but little else. The alternatives don't even provide that so as it stands we're better with him in rather than out the team. Looks far too comfortable to me and needs a genuine threat to his place. Sign a big grock of a striker to do the hold up play and he might shape up. Not hopeful myself

I’d say he had a good year that spanned 2 half seasons but hasn’t looked anything but mediocre before or since.
Two season wonder then if that makes you feel better.

Scored 8 the season before despite playing 1000 less minutes and being only 21. And before that, as a 19/20 year old was mainly played out wide.
He has shown progression every season as a young player who cost the grand total of 1.5m, while being expected to be first choice striker for a team whose fans still expect us to have a 20+ goals a season striker despite us not finishing top half for like 5 years.
Realistically, he has had one bad season due to injuries where he missed half the games. And even then, scored the goal that guaranteed our survival.
We do need another striker, but let's not pretend he is total crap like everyone is trying to even if he has missed some good chances recently.

Behave. He played one half of football as a wing back. Has played every other game in a front 3
….even half-fit, even when not playing well we just look a better side when he’s on the pitch.

Do we thought? We've won 3 games all season and 2 of them muapay started. Palace aside we've been awful every game DCL has started I think?.
He's shocking
One half season wonder. He did get 12 goals in six month and then 2 or 3 pens for the rest of the season. Jelavic did the same. Also crap before that and after that!
