His career is in an interesting spot. 18 months ago he was number 2 to Harry Kane coming off the back of a productive league season. There were lots of links with the likes of Spurs and Arsenal.

He probably thought he would have got his big move and now be on at least double his current salary at a higher profile club which would open up more doors for his modelling side hustle. In the summer he will have 2 years left on his deal with us. Unless he can go on an unbroken run of games and shows some form after the break he will be unsellable. There will be no takers at any kind of fee. At the same time we can’t offer him an improved deal. I personally think he will be leaving us on a free transfer in a couple of years as that is the only way he is going to increase his pay packet

But you're fine with a manager destroying our club.
You should be banned for that earlier comment.
Disgusting.
Only an idiot didn't undersatnd that comment. He's injured already.

People who cant understand time lines cant be taken seriously.

Until he starts scoring more then an increase in his pay packet he can whistle for.

He's in the Bolasie / Schneiderlin category now of a player on a long contract with injury problems we cant shift for cash.

He is a mill-stone round our necks.

Well for sure now not going to Qatar, should we cheer ???

Not clear about a millstone but how about an anchor ?

That deadwood pile is growing again, adds to Mauapay.

Yep let's check...

Bolasie: 25 million
Schneiderlin: 23 million

Calvert Lewin: 1.5 million

If at worse he never plays again for us, leaves on a free then he has paid back his value already.

He has had injuries, not his fault - it's a professional sport, it happens all the time and will happen to players much better and much worse than DCL. I don't understand why you get so angry at certain players such as DCL and Patterson and give others like Coleman pretty much a free ride.

If he didn’t wear high heels maybe his legs would be stronger???
We need to get rid of this diva asap

Apart from showing yourself up as a bit of a divvy here, you’re wrong on both counts.

One, why get rid of one the few attacking options we have?

Two, I think you’ll find wearing high heels would add leg strength.

You answered your own question there.

….yep, all about proving his fitness but as I expressed when this muscle injury first occurred, I have real doubts about his robustness.

The people who make decisions at the club need to wake up to the reality of the future for DCL.

He is not a player who can be relied on to stay fit. We need to use him sparingly and off the bench to help him avoid these continuous injuries. We cannot see him as a first 11 player any more. He cannot be picked every week. He is a player we need to use as an alternative option, not the main option. This isn't the lad's fault, it's just where we find ourselves. We owe it to him to sign another proper goalscorer who can take away some of the pressure.

…we owe it to ourselves to bring another option in. I said in January it bordered on negligence & I still feel the same following the acquisition of Maupay.
