Knee, hamstring, shoulder injuries all within a short period of time. You couldn't make it up. Team relying solely on individual striker to stay up... said striker comes down with new injury after new injury and can only seem to play 60 minutes at a time before being out for weeks again.

Not his fault, of course, he doesn't want to be injured, just the situation it leaves us in very likely could lead to our relegation. Blame Thelwell and those behind the scenes.

Also Lampard signed off on Maupay coming here let's not forget.

Not sure that a team relys on only one player, but of course yes we look short up front. I mean DCL hasnt scored in a while anyway so its not like we are missing his goals. We have to cope with or without him and have to find ways of getting other players on the score sheet.

Would people be as angry at Dom if the club had actual brought someone in who could start and produce goals and hold up play instead of him?
In doms position he would be great if we had him as a back up striker. Playing the odd game, and being used in the last 20 mins. Louis Saha has a similar injury record but we had the yak at the same time. Saha was a bonus when he was fit but we didn’t have to rely on him
Where we are with Dcl is that we have to rush him back quickly, and play him til
He breaks again

He’s another Ferguson or Carroll. Said it ages ago - tall and bulked up on a slender frame, lots of leaps and stretching to reach the ball. Always going to get muscle injuries.
I remember and old video of him where he was jokingly calling himself ‘quadzilla’ when he was younger and I thought at the time that over development of his leg muscles might come back to haunt him one day…..

Bipolar feelings about him. Injury prones is something what is an always a big gamble. Unfortunatelly, can't remember any player who was so often injured and in at once everything is fine till end of career.

All hail GOT's medical experts.

DCL will come good after an unfortunate spell of luck.

His class is permanent.

I can't help thinking, like Gordon before him, some of the ire shown in this thread is down to how he looks and dresses. Sad times.

You aren’t that simple to not know about Ice Hockey and American Football surely?
I hate American football and the rest of their sports except what they call soccer. The big danger to our sport especially football is the infiltration of their ideas, financial "corruption". Ever watch amazon movies with grown men throwing a ball at each other, going to the "ball game" whatever that is, and the infantile phrase "soccer mums" which sums up their view of our football game. Whew! That's off my chest. Anyone going to the ball game?
