The lad has Andy Carroll fitness levels now, it's not his fault, it's just how it is. The thing is, this is not a recent event, he has been missing more than he plays for the best part of two years. The blame lies with the club, it has been so obvious for the past two transfer windows that we need a centre forward. Instead, we have brought in midfield players, centre backs and a very short second striker, who will only ever thrive in a system Everton are unlikely to play.

Now I have seen the posts from the Thelwell appologists 'big Kev doing bits' etc. and some of the bits he has done have been ok, Onana whoever signed him, has been a master stroke, however, the fact remains, centre forward was our glaring requirement when Thelwell came in, he has now had two full windows and all he has achieved with centre forwards is to sell Richarlison and release the awful Rondon. Now both of these things happened a while ago now and 'big Kev' has been doing anything other than bring in a centre forward, I even saw it suggested yesterday that 'big Kev' had lined up a loan for Chris Wood but Lampard didn't want him.

What a load of cobblers, Lampard has been a dead man walking since the Bournemouth week and if 'big Kev' allowed him to veto an option to bring in a target man then 'big Kev' is obviously not fit for purpose and should be emptied out.

I agree.
The lad has some talent but not up to the rigours of full time training and matches.
We should be allowing a system wher we concentrate on getting him on the pitch - like Ledley king and Paul McGrath - if this involves reduced training So be it

What other sports are those, mate? I don't know of any that would play with these.

Dom's current problem is a specific one that's very hard to overcome - the hamstring. It's a muscle that the only recipe to get it back to 100% is rest. It's a terrible injury. Guys can play through knocks, like a bruise to the quad or shoulder pain. But for
What other sports?
It could also be the club are trying to protect their multi million pound asset. He may have been under instruction to flag the bench if he felt any strain, and based on what Dyche said, he probably was.

something like a groin or hammy, it's a tough injury to play through when you're not 100%.
NFL. Ray Lewis tore his pec and played in the Super Bowl. Mahomes probably needs surgery on his ankle. NHL. I mean just about everyone in the NHL is playing with something broken

Different injuries different outcomes.
Also English sports don’t where armour under their kit ?
Seriously though, a hammy was the only injury my dad never told me to run off.

Sorry, I came across as overly hard on you there which I didn’t mean to.

I’ve read some really nasty stuff in this thread from people who seem to think he’s just scared of playing or something. I bounced off your comment to refer to those harsher opinions and shouldn’t have burnt you in the process.

Apologies.
No wrs mate. All just opinions. I hope im wrong and he pushes on. I rate him and want him to kick on .

1) Lewis allegedly tore a triceps before the SB. Legs were fine
2) Just based on how Mahomes looked last week, it's an ankle sprain at least. But something you can power through, especially as a QB

In football, you have to play 90 mins, or some reasonable number of minutes, straight. No plays off, no the other team has the ball, no gameplans where your weaknesses can be dealt with by a game plan. You either are fit to play, or you're not.

it's apples and oranges
