A fit DCL we stay up
An Everton side without a fit DCL and it's about 30/70

A fit DCL tonight makes that formation and gameplan work.

An Everton side without a fit DCL and that formation will not work because we don't have a replacement.

GROSS NEGLIGENCE by Thelwell and the board will cost us our PL status unless DCL finds fitness.

My mrs says he's always fit but just a bit crap at football:coffee:
 
Look how quickly they counter attack, we don’t have any of that, no pace at all. Even with this lad playing.

Our plan seems to be cross the ball or hope to score from a set piece. It’s been like that for too long. There is zero dynamism or cutting edge that most teams seem to have .

I kind of feel for Dom because he’s been seen as only hope when it’s the lack recruiting or what’s been recruited that’s only put more pressure on.

The one time we showed something remotely like cutting edge recently it was disallowed in the cup game at old Trafford with the quick flick on , one two pass.

Do you remember the film Mike Bassett England Manager? The 0-0 with Egypt with such slow, predictable decision making, every move of the ball slowed down to drab music with fans yawning in the stadium? That’s us. That’s Everton footy the majority of the time for the past few years.
 

So is there an expected timeframe this time? Or is it the same lingering rubbish where we hear all about how important he is/will be/was in every presser until May. He's needed... can't get to 100% play him at 80%...still better than what we have and PL survival might depend on it

Nothing has been said so maybe just chillout a bit.

It’s not all about physical “fitness” though is it, sometimes it’s to do with the six inches between the ears!
