Hopefully he is fit for this weekend. been good the last few games and allows us to be more of a threat going forward. TBF his performances since coming back have been really good.

TBH that's probably as far as he was ever going to go. With a training session to go he's not going to commit anything more in case Dom breaks down. Presumably if he doesn't he's in the squad.
It’s a tricky one. I know Dyche and the club have a responsibility to just get points and not to placate the fans, and also handling Dom may require a different approach for many reasons, but I think the fans are always left in the dark to speculate and panic with injuries this season. I for one would prefer a “We are going to take no chances with Dom, so we are targeting the last game”, than a garbled sidestep that sounds more negative than positive, but still leaves hope, which will evaporate an hour before kick off.

Fully understand the reasons to not be 100% open on team selection. But purely selfishly I’d rather 48 hours to mentally prepare for Maupay compared to 1 hour. I wouldn’t be moaning about it in October, just finding it a bit stressy now.

A semi-fit Dom Cal Lew is 10x better than a 100% fit Maupay. I don't see the point in him coming off the bench because we'd likely be losing by a few goals at the time anyway, so just start him if he's in any state to start. Can always take him off if he helps us get ahead and be leading by the hour mark. Then he's got a full week off ready to return firing on all cylinders against Bournemouth. I'm sure Dyche would take a point here.

Let’s hope training goes well tomorrow and he’s in the team

Sounds like he's playing it down somewhat.

Dyche has kept him in cotton wool for most of his time in charge, but now is the time to take the chance on less than 100 % fitness. Do or die.
