Problem is DCLs fragility, He’ll have to be managed. Beto provides useful cover.

I think after DCL playing midweek, Beto should get the nod Saturday and he can hopefully get his first league goal or 2. It’s nice to have options for once

Luton at home is a huge must win game, so starting an in form DCL is tempting.

It still remains the case that we are better when Dom is playing and he is finding the goal again now too. I would be tempted to put him on from the start again and then replace him with Beto later on. Do as much damage as possible in the first half.

Like clockwork.

Two goals in a week almost matches his tally for the last two years.

Until he's back doing it on the regular which he hasn't in years, I'll stick to my opinion he can't be relied upon

If he does, happy days we've got a good striker back.

There is a different to being bad and injured though.

Still, sky's the limit with a £70m player up front. I shall look forward to him firing the club to glory.

In all seriousness though, of he stayed fit, I think we would be top half, even with all the players who have gone. I'm not sure it's quite firing us to glory category, but he really is levels above the players we had playing.

DCL seems the best striker at the club at the moment, DCL edges Beto in finishing and movement but their game give the illusion of being polar opposites of each other. It is giving me some nice Yorke-Cole vibes, so am excited to see them together in the games coming up. With Iwobi gone, DCL might be our last flair (not creative) player.

He's such a good footballer. His instinct with the ball is amazing.

He pulls little improvised touches out all the time. My personal favourite is bringing the ball down with his back!

Two weeks ago we didn’t even need DCL anymore after Beto scored against the worst professional team in England on his debut. Now Everton’s entire existence rests on DCL and some are questioning if Beto is gonna make it here.
