Can help but think it’s no coincidence that both his injury’s and form have significantly improved since he’s dialled back on the skirts and handbags.
Long may it continue.
I know I’m a bit of a broken record on this but “correlation does not imply causation”.

Personally think that when he was injured (and before he was a dad with less time on his hands) his off pitch activities probably helped his overall confidence at a stressful time and gave him something to focus his mind on.

188 appearances
50 goals

Keep them coming
When you consider his injury history and also the absolutely poo teams he played in that’s a bit of a mad record. Just over 1 in 3 is very good, especially when you his overall impact on the team. I loved Rom but he didn’t really effect how we played in the same way, he was just more so there to score goals and nothing else sometimes.

I think DCL is one of those strikers who is judged more on how the team plays even more so than himself and scoring goals, with goal scorers in other places in the team he’s an unreal asset. I’m not English so don’t care about international games but I think he’d do insane work alongside Kane, with Saka and Grealish working off him.

Looks like Dyche's plan to bring him back slowly is paying off, getting great production from him right now and hes playing well. I think if one of our full backs can pick up their game and start whipping in crosses he might ramp up even more.

If McNeil, Harrison and Doucoure were able to give him the ball in good positions then he'd score a lot more.

Theyve all been a let down so far this season in terms of giving DCL good balls.
