Still the best striker at the club by a lot, and we know we aren’t getting one in January.

I've been told I don't understand football by questioning this blokes credentials as a striker. "He runs the channel's" i get as a high brow put down from footballing experts as some sort of defence for him. All strikers run channels but are not remembered for them, it's part of the brief.

Beto was being pushed out wide for his goal at the street end the other week, not many strikers would have nailed that mate either. Arguably harder than Lewins chance tonight i reckon.

I'd be inclined to agree about him getting chances but it's about 10 games without a goal now. We're well at that point where his record isn't good enough and I think that's very much a reason why Dyche dropped him tonight as much as fitness.

Maybe a rest will help him come back stronger. Means we have to start Beto though who offers the team a lot less in terms of build up play. Tough one.

We’re probably his level. A mid/lower table club. Can’t see anyone better putting up with his shortcomings.
