You still have to drop your best players if they aren't performing. He is a bit of a passenger at the moment.
We dropped Harrison tonight and Young come in. Did it help?
I think it would be the same dropping Calvert-Lewin for Beto.

He continues to play because of this;

And because Beto and Chermiti are the alternatives.
Beto.
Chermiti.
Jesus not the Brighton game.. he’s played about 30 since then, he’s just not very good.

Maybe that's the mythical plan B? And I meant we can also not play long ball yet remain with the direct approach - it was available tonight as well, but the instructions to hoof ASAP are clear to see.Usually I'd say yes. We have an Everton number 9 about to go 20 games without a goal.
But I don't think Beto or Chermiti do any better - which says a lot.
Even if they got 2 or 3 goals in that time - if you're playing direct/long ball - you need a player who'll make it stick. Beto can't do that - I don't know why we signed him for the fee we did. I assumed he'd be of Calvert-Lewin's mould, he isn't. He needs balls played behind the backline and we haven't got that.
That was 9 months ago. I mean there's dining out on a performance and dining out on a performance.
The excuses need to start drying up now. Cant keep pointing the finger at the other players who arent getting the shirt.
He hasn't done that in ages. In fact, maybe since that game.That stat is from the other day though. He at least makes the ball stick and capable of bringing others into play.
Honestly, I don't see that in Beto's game at all and we've not got the players who'll be pinging balls through to Beto to run on to.

When is the last game you remember him holding the ball up well or bringing others into play? Maybe Newcastle at home, but I can't remember any others.I think them stats are from this season mate.
Won’t be them two eitherTime's up. Put Beto and Chermiti up front together. Somebody's got to start scoring and it won't be DCL any time soon.
We've spent 30 million on Beto. If he's not noticeably improving on 0 goals in 20 games after giving him a run then we need to sack every scout involved in that decision.We dropped Harrison tonight and Young come in. Did it help?
