Its the same with the training videos. What's the point in small sided games as they never replicate anything at all with what we do on the pitch. At no point are there 4 Everton players in close proximity to each other where they can do 2 touch football and little intricate patterns of play.

The players didn't have a clue when to press and when to stand off yesterday and that again falls on the tactics of the management because there wasn't a clear plan at all. Newcastle the week before pressed them so high up the pitch to turnover possession but yesterday you had moments where Doucoure done it, no one followed up, or Doucoire didn't do it, Iwobi then did do it but done it to the point where he was 40 yards out of position because Garner wasn't doing it at the same time.

Absolutely dreadful management, coaching, team selection and delivery of whatever the plan was by the players.

Negligence from those managing the pitch but more so from above. Dom should have another first team partner to take some of the weight and solid back ups to come on. They've put everything on the lad for years now.
