Not to be disrespectful to either side, but if those are the only sides interested in you, wouldn't you try and stay at Everton?

If he just wants a fresh start, I can see Brentford if Toney goes. I believe he does back himself, and think he does have a distant aim of getting back in the England squad.

He absolutely isn’t getting near an England squad sitting on Newcastle or Chelsea’s bench. Also seems like his body now suits playing every week, but with minutes and training managed. If he gets 15 minutes chasing games or one start a month, I wouldn’t be surprised if the injuries return.

I absolutely want him to stay. I’d even creep up the wages, as that’s way way cheaper than the writedown of a new £25m players contract plus their wages. He is our cheapest option for that level of quality. The issue is disruption to the wage structure, just as we are starting to get it under control. We’d end up with Doucs demanding £250k a week and sitting on balls again.

I rate Calvert Lewin as a centre forward, it's only his poor finishing that stops him from being an very good centre forward. His holdup play and physical presence make such a difference to us when he is fit and firing. If he wants to sign another contract here then I am all for that. If, however, he won't sign, we need to cut our losses and move him on this summer.
