Alan Ball hit 16 goals from midfield .... he was our KDB & fortunate to watch him home & away .... but DCL when fit is a brilliant CF - Klopp liked him - if he had wingers to cross the ball over & a supportive midfield we shall see if either we change footballing wise or he plies his trade elsewhere .... a lot depends on his injuries too.....

Nobody would actually chose to be in a multi-club group, but we aren't really in a position of choice. Would you rather watch us crumble just so you could say at least we kept our Identity.

We are hopefully getting a new owner ( also a silent owner ) We are still Everton, it's not like the Red Bull group who have stolen the teams Identity.
I think you have just drilled a Negative in your head that you can't get over now.

This is Football now, It's Business.. ( And it hasn't even gone through yet )

He might just be looking at the profit he could make on us, Remove all debt, Piece us back together and build a strong squad, a basic total restructure, with a Fantastic new Stadium and 'Bang for your Buck' Suddenly we are a wanted club.

Nothing has even happened/gone through yet, tho If he re-names us 'Friedkins Everton' Then I'm with you and he's going down...

I’ve been pointing this out for a while now when people demand a 20+ or even a 15+ goal a season striker.

We have had one of them manage it more than once in 33 years. Lukaku. Yet people expect us to just go out and get one. Lukaku is an outlier and not the norm for us but people expect our strikers to be scoring that amount. It’s unrealistic.
 

Never rated DCL as an actual top flight goalscorer for the simple reason that he has missed far too many gilt edged chances most good PL strikers would bury, he is wasted as a lone 9. However last season when he dropped 20 yards deeper, basically in to the slot Doucoure was given to support him he looked twice the player of Doucoure in that role. With a striker in front of DCL i think he'd really shine. I fear he wants out now though after the years of stick he's had here and his post match interviews at the end of last season echoed this.

He talked about aiming to be our top PL scorer towards the end of the season which doesn’t match up
