Our midfield is shocking , no argument there … but he’s been playing for us for 8 years with a lot of different players and managers and he has had one good spell of about 15 games in that time .

Milan are not Everton They are one of the most iconic clubs in the world and the maldini family have had 3 gernations of their family play for them. He was also competing for trophies while playing there .

The eye test says he should have scored more as well.

I don’t think he was ever a great finisher, even under Ancelotti there were shinned in, bundled in goals. But as mentioned earlier Ancelotti had him playing between the goal posts and he’s a naturally strong and aggressive player and he’ll get goals from those spots.

I don’t think it’s service per se but positioning and spacing.
