If no one wants him now for effectively pennies for a once International striker, he isn’t getting a bumper contract when he is one year older and probably scored 6 goals (all pens) this season’s. His new agents have blown far too much smoke up his arse. Either way Everton lose out, but unless he scores 15+ for us this season, which will see us safely into BMD, he’s going to lose out too, and waste another year of his career playing 67 mins a week for us.

At the end of the day he is a niche striker. If you can get him service into the box and allow him to run onto crosses, he will be effective for you. To me, that reads backup striker for a lot of teams. I do think he is very useful for the right squad but he isn’t convincing anyone with his recent form.
