It did yesterday , less so at the games when we lose though . If you get me ? Like a keeper can make 4 great saves but if he jumps over one that’s what you remember.

The lad fits perfectly into our system , a striker who can do similar and score those one on ones and we’d be flying . I’d be totally honest though those kind of players are very very hard to find

Totally getcha and Im guilty of assuming hes going to miss in every one on one too, and it does frustrate me. But Im also super impressed by other aspects of his game, and as long as the other forwards contribute, i think he gives us more than any other forward we have one the roster - and i very much doubt we can afford anyone with his qualities who is also deadly in one on ones. For every one on one he misses he wins a header most other players wouldnt. There are positives and negatives with everyone, and i think hes mostly a positive and gets way too much crap. He seems a decent guy too, which is never a given.

As part of the team, he played fantastic yesterday. It's weird that people are slagging off his lack of goals whist praising Keane for scoring despite him being part of a defence that leaks an average of 3 goals a game when he plays.

You’ve only just realised this, it’s been the case for some since Lukaku left because Koeman refused to buy a replacement meaning it was Dom, Rooney and a frozen out Niasse as our striking options

People want to be proven right about slagging someone off and as the Dyche, Keane, Young etc threads are temporarily off limits, this thread has become a comforting refuge.

We can only hope he doesn’t score a hat trick next game.

DCLs work outside of the box is great. The reality of the team does not create enough chances for him is the problem. We need better, that will cost us unless we can find a hidden gem to create. Reality is, we will struggle and struggle more until we find players who can create chances. This is his last season for us so unless we buy some one capable, or, Harrison or McNeil can step up for us we will always struggle
