2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

It's a terrible decision to interview him which obviously puts him in a very awkward position with regards to answering the questions posed to him, then. I'd rather he stays out of the limelight as much as possible until his future is resolved.
Agreed, but he's not gonna tell his employers to stuff it is he, the club know what they're doing imo.

He will be loss mate, his build up play and physical presence are excellent. But we are already beginning to out grow him. The chances we are creating vs finishing are evidence of that.

I also think at this stage we need to keep him u til the summer, the disruption is to much but it’s bad management by the club.

I think when he goes we will see a different style if play, it’s probably time he moves and we move on truth - how its happening in terms of the contract, levees a bad taste for me.

The article today was stupid by the club and by him!
We dont create many chances at home - we are OK away when we can catch teams on the break - when we have to take the game at home we are poor, hence DCL get very little service ....

Have been thinking about this recently mate, id agree that was the case last season, we struggled to break teams down at home - im actually very optimistic we will better at it - i know early results at home weren't great, but against Bournmouth we looked a force and we did well VS Palace, i think we have players now who can break down teams and can chances when they sit back.

I think we are making high quality chances for Dom, i think his finishing of those chances has really exposed the quality of finishing.

Last home game 12 touches in the away box & no corners, how is that improved attacking play ?

The whole team no corners & 12 touches in the opposition box - fact ...

That's alright, no, touches in the box tend to be shots or headers. How many did Dom have remember him missig a few.

The fact we had no corners illustrates what im saying, we are less about banging in endless crosses any more and more about trying to get the ball into feet and prorgress the play centraly or incivicelet through the flanks.

Last year we just went direct or banged in crosses - its a strength of Dom admittedly - but like i say think the change doesn't suit him - because hes not a finisher.
