I think it would reflect terrible on those at the club now if he was given a new and improved contract. I'd say that boat should have well and truly sailed.

I think we should be trying to get 2-3m in Jan and wages off the books and if he signs a pre contract agreement which stops us from doing that, then basically put him in the reserves as he won't be going in full pelt for anything at all.

I would say put him in the reserves anyway, his performances merit that.

I dont actually dislike him just think he is not very good at his job, i hear people say we need to replace him if he goes in January, well i believe we have got 3 players at the club who would outperform and outscore him if given the chance. Broja Chermiti Beto (Well deffo the first 2 not sure about Beto) at least Beto wants to be there and gives everything when he gets a chance.

I think Broja will have the best chance of breaking through (if he can regain full fitness).

We don't play in a manner that will suit Beto (hold up play poor and poor in the air), he wants to play off the shoulder and make runs in behind.

Chermiti I'm unsure of as we simply haven't seen enough of him. Broja we've seen a bit of him.

Either way, someone has to replace DCL at some point beciase these long runs without goals is unacceptable when your relying on your main striker to score the goals

Same number of goals as Son, Vardy, Mateta, Cunha, Solanke, João Pedro, Johnson and Gordon so far this season.

I guess you don't rate any of them at all and they wouldn't start for anyone either ?

He needs dropping, plays like he doesn't love the sport anymore, and I can't blame him for that, these last 4 years have been so difficult at the club, his mental health took a battering with injuries and when he came back hes become so isolated hes constantly fighting a losing battle. Beto should be starting as he still has loads of hinger to prove himself. Think ourselves and Dom desperately need to leave each other.

I think a large part of Dom’s malaise is this brand of football is affecting his image and ability to generate further income from modelling and adverts.
It’s even affecting this ability to dress how he wants, as you simply cannot be wearing skirts and carrying handbags if you’re not doing it on the pitch.

I’m beyond bored of having to read about his dress sense to be honest. Can’t we just stick to talking about how crap he is?

It’s a 100% guarantee that this part of his game will never improve, or become natural. He will have been practicing it daily for a decade. Even if a coach changes his positional instructions, or employs a different style of play, at his age his finishing is what it is, in the same way that Rom will never have a majestic first touch.

Seeing as the general consensus is that he crap, if the club did give him a 2 year extension or whatever would the narrative not change to why the club have rewarded a crap player with a bigger contract and made it harder to get rid of?
