Where are we moving those goalposts now?
Might help him hit the back of the net maybe?Where are we moving those goalposts now?
Just out of curiousity who is your favourite everton striker of say the last 20 years?Tbh mate if im ever looking at a striker, good at defending corners would be pretty low on the list of requirements lol.
I dont like or dislike him. But he's 27. Lets face it if you take out the 3 months of his career in 2020 this thread probably wouldnt exist as everything before and after that 3 month stint is probably no better than championship level stuff.

Lukaka obviously. Yakubu and lukaku are my sort of strikers. Strikers who can finish off their own back and not be soley reliant on service. Lous saha was a very good striker but we saw him after injuries. Andy johnson and Marcus bent came off the pitch drenched in sweat chasing, closing down and playing the lone role superbly. I had time for them.
I'd say them.
Over a 20 year spell its not great to have around 5 and just one who was really top class. I'd say what we have now is up there with the worst batch. I dont rate any of them tbh. Calvert lewin is nothing more than ok. He'll have his moments. He's possibly the most over hyped in a while though. I dont know or have heard a single non Everton fan who rates him. Certainly not like some on this forum. Its bizare to the point of now humorous.

Calvert lewin cost 1.5 mill and is almost in our top ten scorers of all time yet people still diss himYakubu & Lukaku cost big money.
In key positions you need to spend. We havent.
Hopefully we now do so.
He cost us 1/2 a million - Unsworth stated he had great potential - in this current team I pity for any striker TBH - he has been one forward success in our youth system e.g. Andrea Lookman could not hack it in our team ..... perhaps he needs a new challenge away from hoof ball - plus the two own goals could have been his - unfortunate, but he caused the goals in the 4-0 win - we are a very poor footballing side currently ......Do you disagree with my statement? Did you think he was destined to be great when he was first coming through?
Hope he continues to cause goals like he did against Wolves, as he struggles to actually score them, and add that to his great hold up play and he might be worth holding onto.He cost us 1/2 a million - Unsworth stated he had great potential - in this current team I pity for any striker TBH - he has been one forward success in our youth system e.g. Andrea Lookman could not hack it in our team ..... perhaps he needs a new challenge away from hoof ball - plus the two own goals could have been his - unfortunate, but he caused the goals in the 4-0 win - we are a very poor footballing side currently ......
So you like strikers who can score yeah? Because minus lukaku doms out scored every one of you favourite strikers of recent history.
The toxic fans on here did that to me haha. Doms not a world better no, but no person makes out like he hasnt been good for us and if you mention hes almost in our top ten goal scoring list then i see yeah hes championship level. You are allowed your opinion (liking strikers who scored less) but opinions can be wrong ill stick to the goals lolWhat an awful reply. You just asked what strikers i liked. You've then added your own narrative that i never even mentioned. Why didnt you just say you were gunning for your own answer lol.
But even that. Id be asking even more questions if he hadnt in 270 games compared to someone like yakubu who played 80.
I dont rate him as anything that great. Im sure its allowed lol.
Lookman was very young when he came to us. He was a bit raw and didn’t really get a chance. He also went to fulham and Leicester where he did nothing either. He’s obviously found himself in Italy and at 27 he can of course move to another club. He is very hot and cold though. He cost us 1/2 a million - Unsworth stated he had great potential - in this current team I pity for any striker TBH - he has been one forward success in our youth system e.g. Andrea Lookman could not hack it in our team ..... perhaps he needs a new challenge away from hoof ball - plus the two own goals could have been his - unfortunate, but he caused the goals in the 4-0 win - we are a very poor footballing side currently ......
Particularly in the full back positions, lack of overlapping & poor defending at left back ....
