2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I’d say Craig Dawsons is to.
FGS DCL caused those own goals blaming one player for the shower behind him is a joke - He will go at the end of January for a youth player he has saved us time & time again, but I feel it's time to move him on he will never get those wages he is after - he just wants away as any no 9 in our team under Dyche will struggle .... the midfield the full backs all need pace in the side .... or its & will be our aim every game ....

Be interesting to see where he goes and how he does. Playing as a forward in a Dyche team is a hard ask and DCL has really struggled for consistency over the last few seasons. Both these things can be true.

Technically he's nowhere good enough to play for a top team. Maybe he could do well for a Brighton in the same way Welbeck seems to have thrived there but he would have to play better than he has for us.

I say it again, we could have a Dixie Dean in our team & he would struggle = no service.....

As I've said to you before mate, most forwards are capable of creating their own chances these days. DCL does need top quality service and unfortunately that just isn't going to happen under Dyche.

Personally, I don't think we would be losing out on much if he left, but there has certainly been an issue with the supply line ever since we lost the likes of Digne and James.

That being said, if things change and he signs a new deal, I'm pretty sure he will have to fight for his place. Finding the right striker has been a challenge for us over the past few seasons and we could be looking for a couple of strikers in the summer - whilst it is not known what will happen with Broja, both Beto and DCL could well leave - meaning that only Chermiti remains.

We don’t create many great chances for him, but we do create the odd melee in the box, and our corners are decent if predictable. He’s never just “there” when the ball drops. Hard to teach that, and he’s never really had it. Or the will to get a shoulder in front of a defender when a cross is about to come in.

I really like Dom, and he does have a horrible job in this setup, but worse players than him are scoring more goals, and he doesn’t weigh in with assists either. Got to hope Chermiti comes in as sharp as he looked before the injury.

Not think he might sign a new deal with the takeover mate?
