2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I say it again, we could have a Dixie Dean in our team & he would struggle = no service.....

Halaand's not getting the service recently either and apparently he's "the best premier league striker ever". He's clearly not cos he's awful off the ball.

Dom's biggest strength is off the ball. But at the moment he's not being smart with what he's doing IMO.

Yep. Should be nowhere near the team his attitude stinks. How he got clapped off against Chelsea I don’t know.
While there are undoubtedly issues with Dom, we didn't really go on the front foot until late on, with the service to him before than being worse than horrendous.

As a striker, it's somewhat unfair to be having to feed off scraps consistently, and then be criticised for not scoring when the service was non-existent.

Did Beto's substitution change the game? He did put himself around a bit, however, arguably Lindstrom and Coleman contributed a lot; others upped their game.

On more than one occasion, the ball was lumped up to Dom yesterday, and he was close to their box and the next closest player were still in our half!

Thought he did ok at times yesterday.

We’ve seen him play for quite a while now. There’s no denying he’s quite a limited striker.

Finishing is poor, never ever likely to make a goal for himself, his only real strengths appear to be holding the ball up and putting a shift in and being decent in the air, not great, just decent.

He’s very easily replaced IMO.

Plenty of valid criticisms against him but don’t think the game yesterday was one.

Dont get people saying he plays like he can’t be arsed. He’d have been booed out the club if that was the case.

For me this was always going to happen with DCL as soon as he didn't leave in the summer, doesn't score enough goals and offers very little, unfortunately if he doesn't go in Jan he will get quite a lot of abuse next year as his contract runs down.
I think Broja will be starting before long, best for all parties if DCL can get a move in Jan for me, his time at EFC is up now
