That's be a more acceptable excuse if he could finish the one-on-ones he has blown.

People want to find a million excuses for why DCL doesn't score or for why Everton are poor.

Yeah, the manager is a factor, but the most obvious explanation is usually the right one: DCL isn't much of a finisher and the Everton side don't have too many quality players.
 
Wonder if Newcastle will stump up £10 million or so as Isak back up.
I’d probably take Wilson on loan for 6 months as part of deal if so. Hardly ever fit but at least scores when he is.

We will not be getting 10 million for a player out of contract and not in demand. Its reached the point he probably isn't worth selling at all

There was obviously no real interest in signing him or he’d have gone. Newcastle apparently had a sniff if you believe the rumours. If a team wants a player enough they get him, especially if they offered us money in our predicament at the time. He’s a bang, bang average footballer who doesn’t even make up for his lack of technical ability with hard graft. Easiest forward in the division for defenders to play against.
