No. Didn't need to. A couple of still frames.
DCL controls the ball with his back partly to goal. Brighton defender is already lunging studs-high, top-of-thigh level, nowhere near the ball.

Ball still nowhere near the Brighton defender. Studs high, back of thigh. Dangerous play. Penalty all day long...

We get the penalty and score, changes the flow of the rest of the game 100%.
The on field referee was going to give the pen instantly - then Dunk with a late lunge whined for him to go to VAR - In the West Ham game a far more dubious pen was given SKY quoted the new rule - as the new rule this year is that only if offside is involved VAR cannot overrule the on field decision - why alter VAR & then our referee does the opposite ? - no offside or other than that incident happened - that is the new rule broken already the WEST HAM pen was not a pen .... but the referee gave it instantly so it was taken ?
2 less than KDB is pretty impressive.
Don’t give Dyche and Kev any ideasOnly 5 less than Big Chrissy Woody.
Can he run down HOOF Ball, more injury prone than DCL & older .... FGS he could not get in West Hams side on Saturday..... on the bench -Would swap him for Chris Wood in a heartbeat
Then who plays upfront Beto or Maupay - not the greatest of cover is it?We should have done what Brentford did with Toney. That's strong management at boardroom and coach level. We have just sent a message out that we are cacking our pants at the prospect of a future without him.

Agree smacks of weak and rudderless leadershipWe should have done what Brentford did with Toney. That's strong management at boardroom and coach level. We have just sent a message out that we are cacking our pants at the prospect of a future without him.
Yes its reminding me of LescottDCL hasn't exactly lit pre-season or the first game on fire. If he had it would be a different story. I think it's quite clear that it's having an impact on the club. There is a weird atmosphere around him and the fans.
Beto never gets a kick probably a good reason but if Dom goes where does it leave usThen who plays upfront Beto or Maupay - not the greatest of cover is it?
