2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I think this is where his supporters and detractors will have to agree to disagree.

Some seem to believe they're watching hold-up play on the level of a Teddy Sheringham, whereas others struggle to name a single standout attribute he has outside of a prodigious standing leap.
I’m in the latter camp.
To coin a phrase “he’s turbo gash”

I was thinking that he'll be sold.. but by the sound of it he's gonna hold out for a free transfer in the summer.

Boo him..

Makes most sense for him and family to cash out in the summer. It's in his hands really - just needs to make sure he doesn't get injured now.

For sure the club has missed out on money for him - a bit like Ross.

He obviously believes he is a far better player than he is and that isn't helped by the manager telling us that his numbers are good what ever that means.
I really hope they have binned the contract offer that was on the table as it would be ridiculous to offer him more than the 100 grand a week he currently earns ,I would offer him half of that take it or leave it.
When he finally does move he will realise that every other club in Europe expects their centre forward to score the occasional goal.

Interesting take from Dougie Critchley (whoever he is?) from Sky Sports:

https://www.[Publication is blackli...vert-lewin-transfer-news-hes-seen-at-everton/

He said: “I’m always baffled by the calibre of club linked with Calvert-Lewin. It’s always clubs either in Europe or with European ambitions…

“He’s scored 16 league goals in the last 3.5 seasons, he’s underperformed his XG by 16.5 goals in the last six campaigns… just don’t get it!”

His supporters would appear to include every manager he's played under here since breaking into the first team.
