He currently plays in a cow shed of a stadium in front of about half a dozen fans for a start. Surely a full state of the art 53k stadium would be seen and an upgrade.

If he wanted to be at a bottom half of the table team he would just stay at Brentford. He either wants a top club or massive wages to make the risk worth it. We can't provide either.

It wasn’t better than Solanke’s, and it was also 4 years ago now. It’s fair to assume the player that’s just banged in 19 Premier League goals is a better player than the fella who scored 16 goals 4 years ago.

Just watching the game last night Solanke is far ahead of DCL now, in every element of his game.

Brentford would never match DCL’s wage demands for those suggesting they could come in for DCL after selling Toney. If the reports about his wage demands are true, then only the very elite football clubs could match his wage demands.

Yeah, but he doesn't want 100-150k from Everton or Brentford. He'd only accept 100-150k if he was joining a top club. He would be getting 3-5x that in Saudi.

Solanke scores goals and isn’t made of sponge pudding.

Solanke is the same age as DCL, have a look at Solanke's scoring record before last season.
He had one good season the championship but apart from that it is average. Certainly not 60m form over the last five or six years.

Solanke just went for £60m+. £35m is very reasonable.

Solanke scored more goals last season than DCL has in his last 3. We’d get laughed out the room trying to use Solanke as any kind of barometer for DCL’s fee.

We also shouldn't need the player to actually say he wants to leave, to know how to react.

The fact he didn't sign the extension was fairly self explanatory that he saw his future elsewhere.
