2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I think his time is effectively up with us now. With Moyes coming in with a few fresh ideas and playing some attacking football, I envisaged DCL getting a few goals over the next few months which could have culminated in potential negotiations over the contract on offer and him extending.

Depending how long he's out for, he's not necessarily going to get enough minutes to get himself into any kind of goalscoring form.

I’m sad how this is ending for him but I was banging the drum all last summer that his agent was taking a massive risk rejecting a very generous contract for a hypothetical pay day that might never happen, given his injury record and fairly mediocre output.

Ultimately I guess the player should have the final say but I think he’s been poorly advised.

He also priced himself out of a mover to Newcastle with his wage demands too ( if the stories are to be believed )

That`s something he may live to regret.

If he can’t even jump for a header without getting injured then basically he’s done.

Only cost 1.5m so no major damage and giving him a new contract would be insane.

Let him be some other clubs problem. No room for sentiment, thank him for his work here and let him go.
What a weird thing to say
He'd literally jumped for hundreds of headers without getting injured
Things happen. Muscles tweak

This isn’t remotely true for the last 18 months is it?

Yeah, should have played those games with a broken cheekbone as well the soft arse.
Its LITERALLY TRUE RIGHT NOW. Missing 16 matches this season, 21 matches 2 years ago, 21 matches the year prior. the ONLY relatively healthy season he has had in year was missing 6 matches last season.

You literally quote me and prove my point. Its insane the levels certain people will go to take horrible opinions out of pure contrarianism. I said "For whatever reason you want to make up" which you then bolded and copied and ignore the very few words of it that say whether you say hes injured too much, or not injured much at all, he just doesnt score goals because I knew there was some absolute foolish person out there who would come out and say some absurd thing like that.
