2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

He did score 13 and 16 in consectutive seasons like
He sure did. 4 and 5 seasons ago. Under one of the best managers in history, with a large part of that timeframe being in empty stadiums (the same year Martial and Rashford both scored 20 goals each).

3 goals in 22 this season, 7 in 33 last season, 2 in 17 the year before that, 5 in 17 the year before that.

Goal return just is nowhere near good enough, yet for some reason some people cling on to dear life to the two good seasons he's had in eight-n-half years at the club and think it's why he's worth another contract. No other club does that, certainly not one with any ambition beyond circling the drain every year.

you say about being under one of the best managers, dont say about the manager hes played under for the last dychade (felt like ten years) i'll flip you negativity towards dom and say he's got 1 in 2 under moyes, villa moyes didnt have much of a chance to implement this magical thing called attacking in.

You're posting crap DM wants to get rid of Beto one prem goal - all arms & legs - he works hard though but lacks class... £27 million for a Division one class player .... he always seems to score v DIV 1 teams..... DCL will move on we need a better replacement or two to stay up IMO ....
The Broja deal the DOF should be sacked ....
Did Mr Moyes run his plans by you personally?
You're the only one in here spouting off like you've read the future Mystic Meg.

Beto is going nowhere because your boy's legs are made of biscuits.

Christ you lot will grasp any straw

It's not 'negativity' they are just facts.

He's had 2 seaons in his career where he got into double figures, they were under Carlo and we all know circumstances many of those games were played under. Was never prolific before and has never been prolific since. Top strikers often have different managers, its a part of football, but they still deliver; this guy doesn't but every excuse under the sun gets rolled out for him every year.

No club in their right mind should hang their hat on a guy who hasn't had one good season in 4 years. If 1 goal in Moyes' 3 games is your sample size to suggest this time it'll finally be different, then I shall leave you to enjoy your straw-clutching, but I've seen this movie before...

Pen dont count! So far less.

Its LITERALLY TRUE RIGHT NOW. Missing 16 matches this season, 21 matches 2 years ago, 21 matches the year prior. the ONLY relatively healthy season he has had in year was missing 6 matches last season.

You literally quote me and prove my point. Its insane the levels certain people will go to take horrible opinions out of pure contrarianism. I said "For whatever reason you want to make up" which you then bolded and copied and ignore the very few words of it that say whether you say hes injured too much, or not injured much at all, he just doesnt score goals because I knew there was some absolute foolish person out there who would come out and say some absurd thing like that.
Ah, so presumably Orel Mangala is “constantly injured”?. That is literally true right now as well isn’t it?

DCL has missed 6 games from the last 61 league games, 2 of which he had a broken cheekbone but he’s “constantly not available”?, it’s a demonstrably untrue statement regardless of his problems from years ago.

Yeah beat that straw man down, get him! Might want to go learn what words mean.

So which one is untrue? All the matches he will miss this year? All the matches he missed 2 years ago? All the matches he missed 3 years ago? That for the past 4 years he has consistently missed matches due to injury? Name a season in the last 4 he HASNT missed matches due to injury. That wasnt even a point I really cared about until you decided to fall over yourself to bring a statistical technicality to fight the correct opinion that "for whatever reason you want to make up", DCL hasnt scored many goals for us for the past 4 years.

You offer him a new contract, I wouldnt.
