2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

If he does go on a free transfer he will get a good move. Probably to a more attractive option than Everton
Then he can score a whopping 6 or 7 goals a season for someone else in exchange for his £100k a week or whatever it is. With a bit of luck we might actually try acting like a real football club and go out and get a striker who can put that round thingee in that net thingee every few games instead of every few months.

That's how I class him - can't trap a bag of cement .... I have seen better in the national league TBH ..... yes he has a nuisance value, but so did Bernie Wright & he scored a few....

Losing DCL short term as we know he is going - is a big loss - pretending Beto will fill his boots is laughable -DM will sign a striker ....
Have to agree, Beto offers nothing but good effort, but effort doesn't get the job done alone. He's pretty dreadful.

Good luck to the lad, we should have sold him. That's not his fault
Can't sell a player who doesn't want to leave/wants to go on a free and get the best deal possible for himself. If the club were proactive, they'd be reading the tea leaves and already be identifying at least one if not two strikers to be brought in as priority in the summer.

Only saw the highlights of the game, how did he even do his injury? Someone said it was challenging for a header? How is that even possible to do your hamstring that way.

Ummm ok??? Beto finished the game Saturday Dom didn’t. Are we just saying opposites?

Dom has been terrible as the main striker since Covid. How anyone can make a case for a striker having multiple streaks of 14 plus games without a goal is beyond me.
Me too, recruiting has been awful. Needed a striker when Lukaku left. That was the standard and unfortunately we accepted way below that standard for far too long.
Spot on. 17 league goals in the last 3.5 years says it all really. Nowhere near good enough, and no team with aspirations to finish anywhere near the European places hangs their hat on a bloke who consistently misses as many chances as he does.
