Nice finish to mop up Rooney's saved penalty, but demonstrates where he needs work with the one on one miss.

Still, I'd rather have him as our hot youth striking prospect than the days of Anichebe...

I think I'd rather have a quality striker up top and use this lad as an impact sub. He's done well the last two games though, just worried about what impact he can have against a good Chelsea team on Saturday.

Really good performanance topped off with a goal but his weak effort when presented with a great chance is why Sam will be looking for a new striker in Jan.

We'll need him making an impact throughout the game on Saturday. Be a tough ask for him but his last two performances can at least give him confidence.

MOTM for me. I thought Oumar should have started this game, but he had one of his better games in the air tonight. Most of his flicks came off and he mopped up Rooney's pen. Did more than pin them back this time.

Will be great. Just needs to bulk up a bit and I can see him really contributing in the future.
Maybe we should think about a 2 year solution to a striker so that Calvert can really settle in and compete with him.

The lad does not let his head drop and has made some vital contributions this season. It is clear that he is not a natural finisher but looks to have a future as part of the squad.

Been difficult watching him huff and puff for a lot this season for not a lot of reward, so glad he's managed to knock another one in tonight.
I reckon that this extended run in the first team will do him a world of good in the long term. He's learning the game and is improving all the time. Still a kid, but he's already an important member of the team, and that won't change despite who else we may be recruiting in the next few weeks.
