Ha the kid gave everything today. With nothing on for him. He closed everything down and was effectively the first line of defence.
The chance he cocked up wouldn’t have occurred if he hadn’t earned it in the first place. He is not the finished article - however he is one the key reasons that Chelsea had a torrid dsy.
It was a motm performance for me.

I def think we need a better option than him but for god sake the kids is not the worst player in the team.

He's not good enough to start in any decent Everton team but he's way better than I first gave him credit for. He keeps opponents occupied and chases lost causes. If he had any sort of decent distribution he'd be a very handy PL player.

Definitely got potential. Some good little glimpses of combination play around the box as well as the usual aerial balls won and hold up play

Has all the attributes. If he keeps improving he could be very good indeed.

Needed someone much closer to him today, he was being expected to fight for the ball, bring it down and then play an inch perfect thirty yard pass and, though the lad's better than many credit him for, he's not in that class, so the midfielders need to bust a gut to get closer to him.

Shame he couldn't find a Blue shirt when he was through. I havn't seen a replay, but from where I was it looked like he had a second or two to square it, but was indecisive and then the moment had gone. He'll need to improve in those sorts of areas, but he's doing an ace job in a position ( both on the pitch and figuratively ) that he shouldn't really be in, and he's only in that position because of the failings of people above him in the club hierarchy.
