Well clearly you do, otherwise he'd have scored wouldn't he? I didn't think he went at it with a lot of conviction, which I would expect a natural goalscorer to do.

You're veering into the dangerous territory of suggesting people who paid to go and stand in about minus 10 temperatures to watch us labour to a win against Stoke would rather we'd lost so that they could prove a point on the internet to someone they've never met. I'm not sure if you're the type of person who likes to do that, but I can assure you that I'm not. Nothing would please me more than DCL scoring 300 goals for Everton, but I make no apologies for pointing out that I don't think he's good enough to be playing regularly for us at the moment.

The fans that slag him off for missing a 5-yard pass tend to be on GOT mid-match...

He’s the scapegoat this season. I’m a massive fan, but a fair fan, I judge him when he isn’t doing as I personally expect. Still think he might take Young POTY as well for us.
 
He is currently not good enough for Everton. He has potential and that is it. His potential is not yet good enough for us so let him expand that potential at another club on loan. Too early to think of binning him. Same applies to Davies.

I don't really understand.

He should have made that pass so surely criticism of that issue is warranted? Context is important so given he is young, it shouldn't been seen as the be all but still, he should have squared.

I recall reading ( last season I think), that in a particular game, Jags was recorded sprinting back at a pace that translated to a 100metre speed of about 10 seconds. That's pretty quick. DCL is pacy (and deadly with a natural strikers instinct for goal), and I reckon he might be about 10.5secs for the 100 metres...but Capt Jags is probably the quickest in Europe, so it's a bit unfair to use him as a comparitive velocity yard-stick
 
This lad has huge potential & has improved vastly since last season...

Just hope he believes in his own ability cos he could become a massive striker for Everton...

Still has a way to go & needs to find that competitive edge that will be the difference between him becoming a great player rather than just a good player...

Support this lad blues cos we got a little gem here in a few years time...

Walcott was running the 100m in those times when he was 16. Remember it in the southern echo when he broke through at saints

Mate ? Common.... he's not deadly at all and he couldn't finish his dinner. I have seen him miss 1-2 yard sitters 3 times so far. His shooting is poor and so is his finishing
 
I don’t think he’ll ever be prolific; that’s a part of football you just can’t teach. However I don’t think that means he won’t be useful for us. 8-10 goals per season plus assists and team play is enough for me.

I absolutely adore Petagna for Atalanta but he’s exactly the same. More assists than goals, will never be ruthless, but a very good footballer.

Beardsley is my favourite prem player ever and he wasn't prolific. He was an awsome player and whoever he played with (apart from when at Everton) was constantly at the top of the scoring charts
