I do believe he's also our leading assister in the league this season with 7.

It may well be all competitions, actually.

One of the only players to come out of this season with any modicum of self-respect.

He has to improve. But he hasn't done bad.

Solanke hasn't scored a goal for the Sh*** this season yet - and while this is the cultish behaviour we mock them for - you don't see them slating him at every opportunity.

We're the polar opposite with DCL, who has been chucked into leading our line for the majority of the season after our failure to replace the £90m, 25-goal-per-season striker we sold last summer, and has had to do it with players supporting him that simply couldn't be arsed for the vast majority. Throw into that under three pretty clueless managers and playing in a variety of positions - hardly ever the same position 3 games running either.

He's not done bad, all things considered.

I honestly consider us lucky he doesn't want to leave. What a horrible example to set for a young lad like him. He came in at the "beginning of the end."

We came 7th last season. We are, what, 9th this season?

He has played in a vast amount of our games during this time.

How does this not make him premier league quality?

If they were having the season we were having and Solanke started the first half of the season then the lad would have received enough bullets in the post he could start his own armoury. Don't kid yourself.

If we were up for the Champions League instead of spending the first half of the season looking like possible relegation candidates with him leading the line then he wouldn't be getting slated as much because we wouldn't have so much to grumble about.

Don’t understand some fans at all. He’s clearly not the problem and has done a good job this year in a massively underperforming side. Yes he’s missed chances but he’s also young, has a great attitude and is almost certainly one of the lowest paid players to be playing regularly in the first team.

Our defence is diabolical.

And our midfield is none existent.

Plus our manager is the worst ever.

Yet we're mid table. Weird.
