The world should become a lot more interesting once we no longer live under Pax Americana. And Rome brought the Mediterranean Pax Romana and all manner of social positives before it spiraled down the toilet due to a myriad of factors.
I agree that things are complex, but also believe that people generally just want to get on with their lives and survive. If you are willing to let them do so, they very rarely cause trouble. And the benefits of that are far greater than the risks.
I'm a nihilist, honestly, but that doesn't mean when we're commenting on the problems of multiculturalism I can't draw the conclusion that the problems stem from people having problems with it. Turns out when you act hostile to a group of people sometimes those groups become hostile in turn.
That doesn't solve TODAY's problems, they are plentiful, but throwing good money after bad (as it were) seems like a bad solution.
I think you understood my point.Wait...homo sapiens are cancer cells now?
I am clearly missing your point.
I think you understood my point.
Some cultures are regressive and will do damage to the society. If their customs and attitudes are adopted and even passed into law then it won't be fundamentally good for the existing society.
Not a remark against Mexico just the hippie idea it's always a good thing.
Then why all the fuss about a non politician being president? Change is good right? We kinda needed ya in NC on Nov 8.
I obviously was joking. The right have always feared change and lament days gone by.
They use that fear as a catalyst to getting votes.
No it's not. Welcoming immigrants certainly but America was founded on certain principles and one culture. Principles and a culture based on the enlightenment. What a load of horsepoo.
Adopting other cultures is what this country is all about.
He lost his temper after Hillary hit him with the undocumented workers charge. A charge that was mostly untrue.
Which is why he called her a nasty woman. She is.
Ah, I see.I think you understood my point.

I have to disagree. That's fine if you don't intend to have much immigration.Ah, I see.
Whilst I agree to an extent, I don't feel like you need to force cultures into assimilation. Obviously anyone coming to the U.S. should be expected to obey our laws, regardless of the culture they come from. But assimilation takes generations, it always has, and that's ok.
We shouldn't accept subcultures that will not follow the law of the land, but that's really the limitation for me.
Then why all the fuss about a non politician being president? Change is good right?
I disagree with your conclusion vis a vis Trump.I'm on board with the bold, know it as truth to be fair.
Ideology (including religion) and foreign policies play significant roles in this game, and they go so far back we don't know who started it. Too many victims are in this game and will continue to be for as long as both mighty chess pieces still stand.
I can't stand that we live in a society that condones murdering innocents through pilotless drone bombs. And I can't abide the fundamentalism that grows as a reaction to it.
Cease that policy, and you may calm down the reaction. Which, perhaps somewhat paradoxically, is why I would be interested in a Trump Presidency, for ceding such errant meddling in Arab lands to Russia may in the long-term be beneficial to everyone.
With fracking the US can be energy independent. I agree the Middle East is not worth the effort and America is too soft. It probably needs someone like Putin to bring it under control.I'm on board with the bold, know it as truth to be fair.
