Donald Trump for President Thread

Just looked into him, he's for unlimited immigration.
Yup, he's a libertarian.
On the other hand, if you think Trump is a conservative, you're mistaken. With all due respect, I don't get how people can't see through his facade. Trump is a business man, who ran with the intention of using his support for economic leverage. He had/has no intention of being president, he's still holding on to cash out. I can still see the likes of the Kochs buying his withdrawal and support for Ryan.
I can understand right wing views and can respect some right wing politicians but this guy is not doing the right any favors. If I didn't live in the states, I'd be relishing watching him tear the right wing to pieces.

They didn't invade the country though. Putin's maxim is might is right.

The EU was calling for Ukraine EU membership. Supporting the overthrow of the Democraticaly elected government. Russia took this as a direct threat. Don't poke the Russian bear. I wonder what most people would do in Putin's position.

Trump. I don't know much about Johnson, but voting for him would allow Hillary to win.

Does it not concern you that trump can barely string a a coherent sentence together ?

As woeful as Hilary is she at least seems somewhat educated and articulate.

They wouldn't invade another country. Anyway, Trump, he's in a bit of a pickle.

Recent polls have been devastating for Donald Trump. But it’s a question buried in the latestWashington Post-ABC News poll that shows just how troubled Trump’s candidacy really is.

The headline of the poll was bad enough for Trump: Voters preferred Hillary Clinton, 50 to 42 percent. But dig down a bit and you find this contrast:

Screen%20Shot%202016-08-08%20at%203.43.18%20PM.png

The problem Trump faces is more fundamental than mere candidate preference. He currently fails to clear the most basic bar of the presidency. A majority of voters simply don’t think he’s qualified to serve as president. And it’s not just qualifications — they don’t think he has the personality or temperament to serve as president (67 to 31 percent), they don’t think he has a solid understanding of world affairs (64 to 33 percent), and they don’t think he’s honest and trustworthy (62 to 34 percent).

This is how Trump’s candidacy differs from Clinton’s. Observers often note that Clinton, like Trump, is viewed unfavorably by most Americans, and that’s true (though the 50 percent unfavorable rating Clinton posts in this poll is quite a bit better than Trump’s 63 percent unfavorable rating). But while many Americans don’t like Clinton, they do believe in her ability to do the job. Majorities think her qualified to serve as president (60 to 38 percent), that she has the personality and temperament to serve as president (61 to 38 percent), and say she has a solid knowledge of world affairs (72 to 25 percent).

So this, then, is the election as it stands today: Most Americans don’t like Donald Trump and they don’t think he’s qualified, temperamentally fit, or sufficiently knowledgeable about world affairs to serve as president. Most Americans don’t like Hillary Clinton, but they do believe she’s qualified, temperamentally fit, and sufficiently knowledgeable about world affairs to serve as president.

It'd be better if he was more presentable, but his style seems to be working anyway.

Polls are useless.

there are so many obvious flaws...how do you know if somebody is a muslim? never mind the fact that its plain wrong

I know, they are permitted to lie. The Muslim ban is a ban of immigration from Muslim countries.

im just amazed anyone with an ounce of intelligence and decency would vote for him

but carry on

I think he is intentionally trying to discredit himself by coming out with stupid statements and offensive remarks.
He came into these elections with the aim of stirring things but didn't really have the intention to be the president. Now he's on an exit strategy.

hes more suited to be a villian on wwe than an actual leader of whatever , terrifying entity of arrogance, incompetence and fearmongering

There are a few ways you can interpret what he is saying but don't think his spokewoman really helps with her "clarification" if she reallh said this...

Katrina Pierson's long-awaited explanation: Trump was saying an assassination "could" happen, not that it "should" happen.
