When I read a couple of reports on him they suggested he lacked strength in the tackle and was too light weight to play in our midfield. I expected him to be tidy on the ball and accurate with his passing so the fact that he can help out with the defensive side of things is a nice bonus. It will be interesting to see if his presence will allow Doucoure the freedom to bomb forward or if we can play Deli as a No. 10 behind DCL and Richy.

Same, read a few articles saying Man Utd hierarchy thought he was too lightweight for the league and that’s why he wasn’t playing. Wasn’t expecting that, he tackled, picked up second balls, intercepted. Flexibility to play in a few different roles. He wasn’t insanely good but just did the job well, really showed up how poor our midfielders have been.

For me, it was (I think) towards the end of the match when he had received the ball under pressure from 2 or 3 and made a blind (from what I could tell) pass, which had to based on awareness, back up the line to keep our pressure on. I wish full matches were on YouTube, so I could link it and prove to myself I didn't see things incorrectly.

Don't forget we were playing Leeds. It would have been interesting to see him against Newcastle, who had a much more physical approach.

Okay we may have to return him to MU but we will be well satisfied playing like that in the games left. Help get us away from the lower levels of the league and mid to upper mid or higher in the PL. That will do us very nicely then we have the summer transfer season to do a bit of sorting.

He'll be in his manager's ear telling UTD to get ****ed though, and if he enjoys his time here - may well ask him to organise a deal with us.

Whether we can afford his services we will have to wait and see.
